LED Worklight 48w 12v / 24v 4000 lumens Test and Review for you !

October 5, 2019

– Hello, this is Rich for Think Unboxing. This is the return of the
product that I told you that I would talk to you
about, the 48 watts work light. The packaging is white. There is no indication whatsoever. So, the only thing that you get on it is 48 watt square, 30 degrees. But don’t forget this one
you can always get them, in what, like, 60
degrees, if you need them. But we chose the 30 degrees because it will light for up to 100 feet. So, the 60 will do like, what, 50 feet. And those will be lighting straight ahead. The other one will be
covering a longer range, but, no, a larger range,
but not a longer range. This one is not the same, so hold on here. Because I know that we want to see the brackets and everything. So here you go, you have
your bracket, the nuts, the bolts all kind of screw
types of thing and everything that you needed to make it work. If you want to see,
here is the squared one. And, still heavy duty,
still a quality product. The only difference is
this one you have one, two, three, four, you have, wait, four, eight, 12, 16 LED chip inside and all of them are very strong. Once again, it’s still covered on top so those are epistar lights
so if there’s any chance that you find a way to
put some water inside at least the chips will be protected. But, otherwise, this is waterproof. This can go out in the snow,
any kind of temperature that you have out there, it won’t rust. The water won’t go inside
of this and even your, it’s not a glass, it’s more solid. And even this, it won’t rust
out in the snow, or water, or nothing because those are
made in high quality materials. And, they also have a lifespan of around, like, 30 to 35,000 hours,
which is pretty great. And for the price, because
the main idea was to get this, this kind of product
and pay the less possible, the least amount of money possible, and this is the one that we got. It’s under $40, so that’s very good. And, if you check around
online you will find some, but, for around like, what, starting at $200, and climbing up from there. This one, for the price, are good. They come with a guarantee and everything, so that’s very nice on this. I will light it for you,
the thing is right now, I will light it for you
with my lights turned on, and after, in the video I will light it with my light turned off so
you will see the difference. So, hold on. Here you go. You can see that it’s pretty strong. This one packs a punch
when you light it up. And it can go very far,
and it’s very bright so even out in the dark,
like completely dark in the forest, or something,
if you have a quad or a kind of ATV, out on
your motorcycle, or VR, at least you know that you
can travel safe with this. You will see what’s in front
of you and other people who’s coming will see
you, too, so, very good. So hold on, I will turn off the light and then I will be right back. So, I’m back with my lights turned off. You can see that I still
have some kind of lights around me, computer stuff and everything. But meanwhile, hold on. I will show it to you. So this is what it looks like
completely out in the dark. You can see that I won’t
look at it straight, but behind me it’s very, very bright. The 48 watt, you can feel
that it’s super powerful. And it’s a great product to have for any kind of outdoor activity fan. This is the kind of thing that you need on your car, or your
Jeep, offroad, any kind of activity that you do
outside, this is the one to get. So, hold on, I will turn back the light on and give you the final words. So, right back with some light turned on to tell you that, for the price, it’s a product that you should get. It will go outside, no problem. The price is good. The product, the build
quality, is awesome. And it’s one of those
products that you will get and you will be stunned
by the build quality. And also, the powers of the products, because, don’t forget, that
they start at 18 watts, those kind, and they finish at 48. We have show it to you, all of them. If you want to see the
other ones you will see the other video, we made video about them. But this one, for the price,
it’s pretty much one of the few things that you
should get if you’re a outdoor activity fan, or you have,
like, any kind of car that you want to put
some light on, your 4×4, you got a big Jeep, this is the way to go. And you will save some money
because, why pay $200 or $400, for a product that you can buy
for around like, $40 dollars. And it will give you the same
power, the same guarantee and it’s very well made like them. So, I guess it’s the way to go. So, thank you guys for watching me today. See you next time for another video. We will make plenty more of them. Because, don’t forget, before you buy it, we tested it for you. So, thank you guys and
don’t forget to subscribe on our channel because, like I told you, many more video to come this week. Thank you, bye.

I bought the flood version (60 degree) for building my home worklights with a motorcycle battery (12v 5ah $15 ebay, delivered, and a $7 plastic project box from Radio Shack). The 48w version only draws [email protected], so buy the next size up. The 48 is perfect for both home and auto use. I found it interesting that when used on 24v, the light output is about 10% diminished from the performance at 12v due to the circuitry inside. I used my lab power supply and ramped it up. About 23v, it dimmed and stayed there through 32v. Interesting, isn't it? $16-27 a =pair= from Amazon or Ebay. WOW! I love these 6500 degree kelvin LEDs for their bright white light.

Rich, you said you use the 30 degree lights (spots) to light up to 100'. Both will light well over that far, but the flood spreads out the light, like a white gas camping lantern, while the spot focuses tighter, like a flashlight beam. For driving offroad, having both is better. You have a bright spot light focused right in front of you while the floods show up any branches you might be running under and any animals which might dart out in front of you, like deer, or any cliff you might fall off if you don't know it's there in time. All of the better (and expensive) full width 100w+ LED light bars have both and they work really well.
