[HORN HONKS] OFFICER: That’s a lamb. Can you notify Animal
Control there’s a lamb running across
Campbelltown Road near Delowe Drive right now in
the middle of traffic. [LAUGHS] I’m just trying to
keep it in sight right now so it doesn’t get hit by a car. [LAUGHS] DISPATCH (OVER RADIO): You’re
not holding this lamb, right? OFFICER: Negative. I’m traveling behind
this lamb at a– [LAUGHS]– very slow pace. We’re going down
Delowe Drive right now. [LAUGHS] [POLICE RADIO CHATTER] If we can get it cornered,
I guess we’ll just kind of– MAN: Do have got a rope? OFFICER: –keep it in place. I don’t have a rope. MAN: You got rope
and you got a screen? OFFICER: Do you have one? MAN: I got one at the shop. But, hell, he’ll be in Decatur. OFFICER: Yeah, right? [LAUGHS] I’m just going to
kind of follow it right now. MAN: It’s getting tired now. OFFICER: Yeah, it is. It’s got to be tired. So it was your lamb, right? MAN: Yes, sir. Is my friend well? OFFICER: [LAUGHS] MAN: I was on the phone,
and then he got out. OFFICER: That’s right. For the end of Ramadan, right? MAN: You’ve got a
lamb on the lam. OFFICER: He might have
earned his freedom, you know? You guys hear
something up that way? Yeah? [LAMB BLEATING] MAN: Right here. OFFICER: Oh, I see him. I see him. I see him. If he comes this way, he’s
going to run right to him. MAN: Don’t hurt him. If he’s going to get up
and run, just be easy. We’ve got to be easy with him. Go slowly to him. OFFICER: He could probably
scare him back into us. MAN: Yeah. Hey. OFFICER: He’s moving. I got a rope here for you guys. See– go– yeah. Go– go a little bit further
around so you can go around it. Go further down, so
you can go around it. Go left and come back around. He’s going back out to the road. Yeah. He’s back in the backyard,
right where that dog is barking. MAN: Right here. OFFICER: It kept going straight. We almost had it. So it was going to run
back into the main road. We’re going to see
if we can cut if off. Ramadan is almost over. They were going to prepare
the lamb for the feast at the end of Ramadan. But it looks like
this lamb didn’t want to be a lamb chop today. And it earned his freedom. They’re going to search for
it and see if they can still find it at dinner. But, right now, this
lamb is home free. OFFICER: I know what
goes on in this house. So when you pulled up here, I
knew what you had in your car. You know you shouldn’t be here. You’re going to end up losing
your kids over dope because you don’t care about them. So, if you don’t care
about them, well, then maybe if they’re in
the system somewhere, then maybe they’ll end
up in a home where someone does care about them.
