    Kraftwerk made the world's first and best electron music;
    the best crew:
    Ralf Hütter – lead vocals, vocoder, synthesizers, keyboards
    Florian Schneider – synthesizers, background vocals, vocoder
    Wolfgang Flür – electronic percussion (1973–87)
    Karl Bartos – electronic percussion, vibraphone, live keyboards (1975–91) [82]

    Sie waren zu ihrer Zeit weit weit voraus.

    Chris Martin wrote Ralf Hütter (in German, no less) for permission to use this song. The lawyers passed it on to Ralf, who sent back a one-word reply: Ja.

    Because why not? Young people would then learn about Kraftwerk, and Coldplay, as they're a big band (not my faves, either, but hey, they shift units) would end up selling a lot of copies and Kraftwerk would get a lot of royalties.
