GREAT NEWS: New Laptop + New PS TV + Trails of Cold Steel!

July 1, 2019

hey guys what's up I got a new laptop how long last I have a new computer oh yeah nucleic equipment in order to improve the quality of my videos the production of my videos be editing overall everything I still don't have a new camera from now on I'll be working with the same camera for a while but after this new laptop what's next on your camera so sooner or later I'm gonna keep improving over and over again awesome on your laptop so in this video I'll show my new laptop and also my new yes TV oh yeah alright so what are we waiting for let's begin [Applause] you all right here is my new HP laptop this is great I got a really good deal with this with this magnificent piece of equipment it's an a used laptop it's not a new laptop and as you can see here it's an Intel Core III 8 gigabyte RAM one terabyte hard drive 64 bits high resolution and all that jazz not an expert of this thing to be honest I just listened to my best friend's advice he's sort of like an expert on computers and he told me well that's a good computer it's good for your videos good for your editing get it and I did so a pull is that it looks beautiful it's bigger than my previous laptop you're about to see it right now it's over there behind it just to make the comparison except to Sheba 3G gabite memory and like a 500 harddrive and the processor is just an intel core pentium yup intel pentium really old computer this is like eight years old anyway I made another video about my laptops and the comparison between these two on my second channel if you want to take a look I'll leave that video at the end of these ones you can watch it if you're interesting more details about this but it just means overall that I'm so happy to have this it's all thanks to you guys to be honest I was completely fine with this one but since YouTube is my full-time job now I need to improve I need better equipment so you guys are the reason I brought this laptop and you guys are to thank for because without you every clan an RPG wouldn't exist let's move on to the Vita this is the PS Vita that I got almost one year ago I've had it for like 10 or 11 months I got an August 2018 that is a piece for controller I'll explain why this is here and these little box here yes believe it or not this is the PS TV this is a PS Vita yes just a box just a very small box I mean just look how small it is compared to the PS Vita oh yeah not even that's the same size of this Kareem the beautiful OLED screen of the first PS Vita but anyway this is it it has a power button over here and then this is for the memory card this is a USB entrance for the ps4 controller I'll explain that in a bit the HDMI is obvious and the ethernet cable if you want to connect directly connect your via to the internet or you can also do it Wireless of course this is the power source to the power adapter then just a logo here the specifics key of the model the serial number and above here is the entrance for the cartridge and this is a surprise because we're gonna taste this baby we're going to do some testing it's a little hard to to open come on there we go that is for your cartridges this is my surprise we're gonna test this baby with this game here here is your favorite The Legend of Heroes trails of cold steel by Falcom the first one so I just want to say a huge thank you to the person who sent this to me this my friends my viewers this is a gift from my body Cory Matthews in Florida he sent this along with all the bunch of games but those games I'm gonna show them on my next pickup video which will be a couple of weeks from now maybe more we're gonna wait because I recently made one like three weeks ago but yeah he sent me this I am so grateful like Cory Cory thank you very much for this man this is a great gift considering these things are really rare nowadays really hard to find and really expensive so this is one of the greatest gifts I've ever received from a fan a PS TV thank you very much man all right guys let's test it out let's see how these works but oh yeah before I didn't explain that's right what the hell is the piece for controller doing here well believe it or not you have to play your PS TV with the ps4 controller I think you can also do it with a ps3 controller if you connect your PS Vita to this one all its gonna show on your TV screen is that you need to connect it to a ps3 or to a PC so it's not working you can't play your PS TV with a PS Vita because you'll be literally playing literally playing PS Vita with another PS Vita it just doesn't make any sense but yep that's it that's why ps4 controller is here alright let's test it out alright then I have a huge mess here of cable sorry about that have everything connected here these multi connectors give the TV and the peace for over there so yeah first thing you need to do with this this is the the charger or more like the AC adapter just gonna plug it in and plug it to your Vita your PS TV once that's done you need the HDMI cable just connect it to your TV first and then connect it here all right there we go next thing you're gonna do is you need one of these cables I usually sell with the ps4 ps3 it's the cables you need to connect the ps3 controller or ps4 controller to your console you choose you just need to plug it in your controller and you'll be set all right here is you will obviously need a memory card in order in order to save any of the games you'll be playing the only one I have right now with me is on my PS Vita I need to buy a new memory card it can be any memory card you know a 4 gigabyte memory card I know this video is infamous because of that because memory cards are only are very expensive and no one wants to pay them so if well if you're gonna use it just to save your gains that's all you're gonna need so depending on what you want to do with the PS Vita with your PS Vita over your PS TV you're obviously going in a memory card but for now let's test it out see how this works on the TV alright there we go there it is connected to my TV the PS TV now I can play my video games on the TV woohoo so obviously the OLED screen on the PS Vita and the PDP is fat Vita looks much better than this but you know to be able to play your PS Vita game on the TV and with the ps4 controller that's awesome you long if you're peaceful controller or ps3 controller is charge you no longer need to keep it connected you can just disconnect it disconnect it and there you go wireless you can see there you go let's try trails of cold steel there it is start awesome even though it's not an OLED screen it looks beautiful isn't it well it does now loading so yeah here is the PS TV connected now so what happens after this what happens I know a lot of you are gonna be wondering can i hack the PS TV yes you can there's a bunch of tutorials on YouTube and on forums on different websites for that so you can you can actually hack the PS TV now what I'm wondering and I'm gonna try it I'm gonna try to do it some time later after this video but my PS my PS Vita is hacked alright this is what this one is hacked you need a memory card and an SD card both of them the SD card usually goes right here so I'm gonna put this SD card on that one on the PS TV along with the memory card and see what happens I hope I don't break by mistake my PS TV I hope it doesn't do that I'm gonna make sure on the Internet just search for it to make sure I don't it up huh but anyway here's a sexy Emma yeah here's trails of cold steel yeah my favorite character Sarah no because she's fanservice but I just love her personality well I didn't make this video to talk about trillions of cold steel although it will be fun to do but anyway let's see that's a PS TV I'm pretty sure you can hack it I'm pretty sure it works perfectly fine but I don't know if what I'm about to do works but I'll keep you guys updated in a bit okay guys bad news nothing happens I just put the memory card in the SD card for my original PS Vita to the PS TV nothing happened you didn't even detect them I went to Content Manager to system settings I tried everything it's like it doesn't even acknowledge them it doesn't know it they exist anyway I'm not an expert at these things I have no idea what to do I'll look it up in the Internet I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the Vita I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to buy a memory card and another SD card and do everything that I did oh well hi Bob these already have with everything that was done for the hacking of this system it's gonna be done for the other one but you know yeah it'll take time but now I'm just very happy that I got these PS TV this is a good start and it's just great just feels great to have the opportunity to play your video games on the TV that's just amazing I love this Thank You Cory thank you very much man you're an awesome person for sending these to me I'm gonna do everything in my power to take advantage of this gift amazing so that's my little laptop and that's my new PS TV and that's it thanks for watching don't forget to subscribe and share this video with your friends see you next time

I just copped a pstv from eBay not too long ago. Wanted to play Persona 4: golden on a big screen. This works very well w/PS4 remote play too! Almost like having a second PS4 in the house.

Some say that a collection of games and a library of games are the same, but I say they are different even though they have similar meanings. A collection would refer to physical disk/cartridges of games. A collection disk/cartridge that has multiple games in one package is accepted. A library of games may include some physical games, but its primarily influence by digital games.
I don't consider myself a collector like you. I only get physical for games that are worth it like Smash Bros, Etrian Odyssey, or Xenoblade to name a few. Other games I get digital. I'd say in recent times I'm 35% physical and the rest digital so I have a library of games.
I'm planning on getting the older Ys and Legend of Heroes games cuz of the steam sales. I could get the Trails of Cold Steel games as my first entry to Legend of heroes, but I get a better deal buy getting the trilogy for Trails in the Sky.

  • Reply Joey July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

There is internal storage on the pstv, I'm not sure how much but I dont have a memory card in it and have games saved.

  • Reply King Lumague July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

You can't just put in a memory card from a hacked Vita in your PSTV. You have to flash the firmware for the PSTV to hack it, and then set it up so that you can use the SD2Vita and Vita memory card on the PSTV.

One advise though. I tried to hack my tv, and when i done that i wanted to put my sd2vita adapter and my memorycard from the vita into the PSTV. But it doesn't really work because it has to rebuild its database. My memorycard got somehow corrupted and i had to hack my vita again.

So if you plan to hack your pstv too, make it independent of your psvita. Don't use your memorycard from your psvita on your pstv. But i think you can use the sd2vita adapter for games only, when your pstv is hacked.

I don't know what exactly happened, so just be careful.

What exactly is your second channel for, if i may ask?

  • Reply megakoni1 July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

Plenty vita games don't work on PSVita TV though. But with hacking you can make it work

  • Reply Jullemasa July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

Could say that nice to have new good stuff. Myself I bought some half year ago PSTV about for 80 euros and it was tested once and working so nicely. Could say that price up is just stupid as only for hacking the system and then price is like 3-4 times more but I got little bit cheaper. Even I bought it just for one game and it is Grandia and also speedrunning for it as PSTV was best and easiest to stream with as all other ports are slower also PSVita isn't so easy to stream with. Also I just didn't care about hacking as I had only reason for one game Even base memory also was enough just for that game. XD

Hello Erick, very good new toys, indeed. Enjoy. After thousand hours spent on Vita, I just bought a PS4 pro (before prices go higher, in a near future, due to adverse US politics to products made in China e.g. CPU, GPU…) and WOW, this beauty was really designed for its purpose: gaming. Please keep on making quality videos about our common passion: RPG. Cheers.

Finally you followed my advise getting PS TV, it’s the best 👍🏼

  • Reply DJTEKTORO July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

The PSTV can use the PS3 controller, PS4 Hori Mini, and Fight Sticks. Also you can play various PS1 games with 2 players although it’s hit or miss with getting good results. I would stay away from the larger 128gb memory cards, I believe they just corrupt easy with too much data. So it’s probably best to get multiple smaller ones!

  • Reply Mark .. July 1, 2019 at 4:13 pm

The hack didn't work on your PSTV, because it's console specific AFAIK. You'll have to hack your PSTV yourself for it to work. The best way would be to upgrade/downgrade your firmware to 3.65 and install permanent hack (Enso), then install reF00D, rePatch, noNpDrm, WhiteList and some other plugins. (reF00D and Whitelist will allow you to play any game on any firmware without restrictions on your PSTV.). FYI, you can use normal pendrive as your uX0 main storage on PSTV without the need to use SD2Vita. PSTV has 1GB of internal storage, so MemCard isn't necesarry to hack it. Good luck.

wait u may hack ur PSTV no problems (h-encore up to 3.70… also henkaku probably works) the problem being saves transfer.. what is the point of hacking a PSTV if cannot carry over your saves? I am sure there is a utility to do that but that's the first thing I would be concerned about (I sync them through ps+ and that's very straightforward but with hacked machines it must be more complicated). (Also u realised when u delete a game on vita u also delete saves unless u back them up first right? Be careful!)

Ah yes the PS TV the micro console that nobody wanted…then the price dropped to 30 dollars and now you can't find them anywhere.

The PSTV shows what's left if you remove the screen and control parts of a Vita and put it in a metal case.
I really like this thing because you can play Vita-only or downloaded PSP titles on a TV even though there are some games that look not as good as others. It depends on the type of graphics used. It's great to have and when I bought it, it wasn't rare yet and cheap as well. Don't know about the present situation though. Unfortunately there are few games that do not work with a PSTV. One sad example is Ys Memories of Celceta. The US version got patched but not the european version.

This fan knows what is best for you. But he sent you only CS1, although 2 is now out on PS4, too and 3 is coming on 27th September and hopefully two weeks before will be announced for PC, too. Like 1+2.

Do you or someone else know, where to get an adapter to play PS4 on PC? Safest thing would be Amazon, but I need the correct name or it shows only controller or loading adapters.

Or can you get the remote play – if the game supports RP – code via email or sms on your smartphone, if you don´t have a TV in your room? Because you can make a new – if you don´t know your old – PSN account on the official website and this is normally on PC.
