Correlation Coefficient in Casio 300ES Plus Scientific Calculator

September 15, 2019

In this video I will show you how to
find the correlation coefficient for two variable statistics in your Casio 300ES
Plus scientific calculator. To begin I already have numbers plugged into my
calculator both x and y, so to save these numbers I’m first going to press AC. This
will save all of the numbers in my calculator to be able to find
correlation coefficient. Next I’m going to press the SHIFT button and then come
down here to number 1 which says STAT. Now this list of options comes up and in
order to find correlation coefficient I want to go to option five, REG. After pressing 5, I see this next set
of options come up and in order to find correlation coefficient I want to find
r. R is number 3. So I’m going to press number 3 and r comes up on the
screen. So now the cursor is blinking which means I haven’t found r just yet
I need to press the equals button first. So after pressing equals my correlation
coefficient or my r value shows up on the screen. From here now I can round off
to as many decimals as I need to as instructed by my professor. So this is
how to find correlation coefficient for two variable statistics in a scientific
calculator.
